It is never too late to train your dog. Dogs can learn new things regardless of their age and physical ability, here at All Four Paws we accept and accommodate elderly, disabled and deaf dogs for our walking and sitting services and our dog training programs! So if you have taken on an older rescue dog, your dog has three legs, you have a deaf puppy or you have just decided that your elderly dog needs to learn some manners! Do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your requirements.
Having taken your dog out for a walk, done some training, played with him... you find he is still alert and looking for things to do! So what next?
At All Four Paws we think that KONG products are a fantastic way to entertain your pet when you are out of ideas. Here are a few examples of their products and how they can be used effectively!
In our opinion the best dog toy on the market. Not only can you throw as a game, but you can fill it with treats or stuff it with food to keep your dog entertained for hours. Once you have stuffed it with safe food, you can even freeze it to keep your dog entertained for even longer! There is a size suitable for every breed and even an Extreme version for the stronger chewer. Why not look at some of our great ideas for Kong stuffin’ recipes here?
A great way to entertain your dog while you are busy with the kids, or need to get the housework done. You can put in some dog treats, or just chop up some cheese, hotdogs, ham or chicken. Fill it up and your dog will spend hours playing with the Wobbler getting all the treats out.
Made from softer rubber for teething puppies, this range includes a wide variety of toys for the younger dog – including a Classic Kong shape which is ideal in overcoming separation problems, inappropriate chewing and aiding crate training.
These toys are made from a durable rubber coated in the same material as a tennis ball. They squeak which is great for getting your dog excited about the game and they are perfect for retrieval games. They come in a range of sizes and shapes so it is easy to find the style that interests your dog the most!
There are hundreds of other Kong products available to entertain your dog – there is even a toy with a on/off squeaker button! Now how many of us have wished for that in the past! You can find these products in your local pet shops or online.

At All Four Paws we are regularly asked whether we recommend other local pet businesses, especially reputable Veterinary groups.
When your pet is sick, the last thing you want is to feel like you are being rushed out the door. You want a professional but personal service from a surgery that takes an interest in you and shows that it cares about you and your pet.
There are a number of practices that we recommend in the local Crawley area, depending on your specific location. However, our first port of call where possible is always Ferguson & Associates in Windmill Court, London Road. Here you will find a kind and relaxed atmosphere where the pet comes first. You are not rushed through; the vets take their time to make sure they help you in the best way possible, you can choose which vet your prefer to see and the staff are very helpful.
For emergency out of hours, cardiology specialisation, and a hydrotherapy unit – Seers Croft in Tower Road, Faygate is also an option. They also have the facilities to treat horses, farm and exotic pets which makes them a very useful for those with a varied family of furry friends!
For more information and advice regarding local vets, feel free to call us on 07746 934728.
